Dr. Nick Pothecary

has over 15 years international experience from Europe, the US and Asia, working with specialist roles in Professional Development, Leadership & Talent Management.

After being awarded a 1st Class honors graduate degree in Engineering and a PhD in mobile communications from the University of Bristol, UK, Nick worked with the UK Government on technology research projects. In 1995 he moved to Sweden as a technical expert and project manager for Ericsson working on the development and deployment of 2G and 3G mobile systems. Work at Radio Design and subsequently Nokia, again in the area of 3G, culminated in authorship of a highly acclaimed book on radio and mobile communications. Seeing the critical importance of good leadership and talent management Nick increasingly focused on people development, performance enhancement and goal setting, essentially making the transition from “radio communication” to “human communication”. Since 1999 Nick has been a business consultant to an ever expanding range of clients including Telecoms and Technology companies, Financial Services and Insurance Providers, Consumer Goods Manufacturers, International and Government Organizations and Professionals of all kinds.

Nick is a certified practitioner and expert in Value Science (Axiology) and is qualified with other behavioral science tools such as MBTI and FIRO-B. He is a Coach for Life graduate and an expert advisor for the Human Capital Institute where his specialist area is Behavioral Science and Talent Management. A regular contributor to international organizations working with globally mobile professionals, Nick has himself lived in the UK, France, Sweden, Italy and India. Work has also taken him to the US, China, Singapore, Korea, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Since 2004 Nick has been based in India, gaining invaluable on-the-ground experience and knowledge of this important and increasingly globally-linked market.
